Collecting and Using Your Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data (From You via LinkedIn Sign-Up/Sign-In)
To create and access Your Account, You must sign in using Your LinkedIn account. During this process, We collect limited Personal Data associated with Your LinkedIn profile necessary for authentication and account management, such as:
- Your name (First name and last name)
- Your email address associated with LinkedIn
We use this specific Personal Data solely for creating Your Account, authentication (sign-in/sign-up), and managing Your user session. We do not use Your personal LinkedIn profile data for generating messages about other candidates.
Candidate Data (Collected Automatically via the Extension)
This is a core function of the Service. When You are logged into LinkedIn and have the Ozzi.AI Extension active, the Extension automatically detects when You are viewing LinkedIn user profiles. It then sends information from these viewed profiles (Candidate Data) to Our servers.
- What is Collected: This data typically includes publicly available information on the viewed LinkedIn profile (name, title, company, summary, experience, education, skills, etc.).
- Purpose: We collect and store this Candidate Data to enable the Service’s primary feature: allowing You to generate tailored messages or insights based on that specific candidate’s profile information at a later time via our platform.
- Whose Data: This data belongs to the LinkedIn users whose profiles You view while the Extension is active.
Your installation and use of the Extension signify Your understanding and agreement that it will collect data from LinkedIn profiles You view and transmit it to Us for the purposes described.
Usage Data
Collected automatically when You use the Website and the Extension.
Usage Data may include: Your Device’s IP address, browser type, browser version, pages visited on Our Website, time/date of visit, time spent on pages, Extension activity (e.g., profiles processed, features used within the Extension), unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
Generated Content
We collect and store the Generated Content You create using the Service to provide the functionality and allow You to access Your work.
Tracking Technologies and Cookies (Website & Extension)
- Website Cookies: We use Cookies (Session and Persistent) on Our Website for necessary functions (authentication, preferences) and analytics, as described previously.
- The Extension: The Extension itself is the primary mechanism for collecting Candidate Data from LinkedIn as You browse. It inherently tracks which profiles are viewed to perform its function. It may also utilize local storage within Your browser to manage session information or user settings related to the Extension’s operation.
You can manage Website Cookies via Your browser settings. Disabling the Extension will stop the collection of Candidate Data.
Use of Your Data
The Company uses the collected data (Personal Data, Candidate Data, Usage Data, Generated Content) for:
- To provide and maintain our Service: This crucially includes processing the Candidate Data automatically collected by the Extension from LinkedIn profiles You view to enable the core functionality of generating tailored messages. It also includes operating the Website and Extension.
- To manage Your Account: Using Your LinkedIn-derived Personal Data for authentication and managing Your access.
- For the performance of a contract: Fulfilling Your subscription (if applicable).
- To contact You: Regarding Your account, Service updates, security, or support, using Your provided email.
- To provide You with news/offers: (Optional, with opt-out) About similar services.
- To manage Your requests: Responding to support queries.
- For business transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, etc.
- For other purposes: Data analysis (identifying trends in Extension/Service usage), evaluating campaigns, and improving Our Service, AI models, and user experience. This may involve using aggregated or anonymized data derived from Usage Data, Generated Content, and potentially patterns observed in Candidate Data (without identifying individuals or revealing specific profile contents outside the Service context).
We share information only in these situations:
- With Service Providers: Essential third parties for Service operation (cloud hosting like AWS/GCP, AI model providers, payment processors, analytics tools, customer support platforms). They only access data needed for their function and are under confidentiality obligations. This includes processing Candidate Data through necessary infrastructure (e.g., hosting servers, AI APIs).

- With Affiliates: Sharing within Our corporate group, bound by this Policy.
- With Your consent: For any other purpose, with Your explicit agreement.

We do not sell Your Personal Data or the Candidate Data collected via the Extension. We do not share specific Candidate Data with third parties except the essential Service Providers needed to operate Ozzi.AI.
Retention of Your Data
- Personal Data (Your Account Info): Retained while Your Account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal/operational needs (compliance, dispute resolution).
- Candidate Data (Collected via Extension): Retained to provide the Service features (e.g., message generation based on previously viewed profiles). This data is associated with Your Account and is retained [Choose ONE and specify clearly: e.g., “for as long as Your account is active”, OR “for a period of X months after collection unless You delete it via the Service”, OR “until You manually delete it through the Service features”].
